Snow Days....

The kids had President's Day off from school on Monday.  Then the big snow storm came through Monday night, and the kids were off ALL of last week!  We have stayed busy by playing in the snow, making hot chocolate, eating snow cream, bowling, going to Costco, and going to Jumpology!  Phew, what a week!  My neighbor is a channel 8 news reporter and she asked for pictures of what people were doing with their kids on their week off!  I sent in the picture of Cora, Josh, Madelyn, and Ellie making snow cream...and they made the news!  Quick picture of them, but oh so cute!  Hopefully we have school on Monday!

Snow Day 2015!

We finally got our first big snow of the year!  We were all very excited for the snowstorm since we really have not had much snow at all this winter.  We got about 6 inches which was perfect for us to have fun! Schools were closed and we spent the day with the McGuire family!  We had a great time sledding, playing in the snow, making snow cream, and just enjoying each other's company!  Yay for a fun snow day!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day was a busy busy day last Saturday!  We started the day with Cora and Josh running the mile with Echo Lake's running club, going to Cora's Frozen class, selling Girl Scout cookies in Nana and Pop's neighborhood, and ending the day at Auntie Laurie's house for a party! Needless to say I had two little tired children by the end of the day. Cora and Josh ran downstairs and brought up their Valentine Day presents to open when Sam and I were just waking up!  So we had a quick present opening and then we started our busy day!  Lucky to have my sweet little Valentine's each and every day!

Snow Tubing at Wintergreen!

This past Saturday we went up to Wintergreen to go snow tubing!  We are trying to do fun things this winter so this was on our to do list!  We had a BLAST!  Josh was a little too short to go on the big tubes, so we went to the Ridgely Fun Park.  He had an awesome time doing mini tubing and throwing snowballs.  He was OBSESSED with snowballs.  He had a blast but kept telling me "I not tall nough to go with Fora, Ellie, and Madin!"  I kept telling him "next year you will"!  After the fun park was done I met everyone at the tubing and switched places with Sam so I could join in the fun!  It was CRAZY!  The tubes go a lot faster than I thought.  Everyone had such a great time!  Afterwards we went to the Wild Wolf Brewing Company, which was at the bottom of the mountain at Wintergreen.  The weather warmed up by then and we had such a fun time eating and drinking.  The kids were  happy as can be playing on rocks...go figure!   We didn't get home until 6pm, so it was a long but fun day!  Can't wait to do it again next year!

A little February Fun!

We are trying to stay warm this winter!  Counting down the days until Spring!!  I actually went away for a weekend on a girl's trip!  I went with my neighbor to our friend Terry's condo in Sandbridge. It was a very relaxing kid free weekend!  Cora got to go with the Nolans to the American Girl Store in D.C. for Stella's 10th birthday this past Sunday.  She had a blast shopping, getting Felicity's hair done, and more shopping!  Here are a few pictures from our February!
