Learning how to manage 2 kids-1st week home!

Going from one to two kids was a handful at first, but I got the hang of everything pretty quickly!  Luckily, Joshua is a very good baby.  Cora is more a handful than he is!  Nana came over every day our first week home because Sam had to work.  I don't know what I would have done without her..we love you Nana!!  Here are some pictures of our first week at home!

Always near her brother!

Loves to read to him!

Such a happy girl!

A family of four!

We arrived home on August 26th.  Cora was taking a nap, and Meme and Nana were there for our arrival home!  Cora was very excited to come downstairs and see her baby brother!  Of course, the weekend we were first home Hurricaine Irene hit!  So basically all weekend we stayed inside and watched the storm!  I don't know if Cora was more excited about her brother coming home or Irene coming!  That Saturday morning she woke up and asked if Irene was here yet.  Basically Irene was a visitor coming to see Cora!

Hanging out...watching Irene!

Tired Mama!

So in love her brother!

Lots of kissing, hugging, and holding!

Joshua Hudson Nolan

On August 24th, we welcomed our sweet boy into this world, Joshua Hudson!  He weighed 8lbs 5oz, and was 21 1/2 inches long!  A little bigger than his sister, who was 8lbs 1oz, and 20 1/2 inches long!  Joshua has a head full of brown hair, which we were suprised about!  I was sure he would have red hair like his sister:)  On August 23rd, Virginia had a pretty big earthquake, which shook all of us up, literally.  That night, Cora and I had Mexican dinner with Auntie Linz.  Needless to say, either the earthquake or the mexican dinner had an impact on me going on into labor that night!  I woke up at 2am with severe labor pain and my little man made his appearance a few hours later!  Nana was there for the delivery, and I don't think in a million years she would have thought she would have witnessed me give natural child birth!  Yes, that's right!  I did not get my epidural like I had planned because it was too late!  I do have to say though, Cora's birth was long and drawn out.  This birth was fast (very painful!), but done quickly!  In the end, I am so proud of myself for being able to do it.  Not many people can say that they gave natural childbirth!  My sweet Joshua is such an amazing little baby, and we are loving every minute of our family of four!

My big boy!

His oxygen had to be monitored after birth (my man gave me a little scare when he was a couple hours old!)

Look at that brown hair!

So in love with this little man!

Getting ready to go home!

All ready to go!

Hello again, blog world:)

As you can imagine, the Nolan household has had a very busy summer/fall so far! Unfortunately, the blog has gotten neglected!  But now that things are settling down, I hope to keep up with it much better!  But of course, I have to go back to work in two weeks, so we shall see!  Since this summer, we have moved and added a new addition to our family, Joshua Hudson!  I am going to try to catch up on our lives as best as I can...so here I go!

Our new house!  We moved on June 22nd, 2011.

We are in the 'burbs!

Cora is 2 1/2 & Hello 3rd Trimester!

I can't believe I am already 28 weeks pregnant, where has the time gone?!  Baby Boy Nolan (still no name yet) will be here in 3 short months!  Today we went to Aunt Kelly's pool and had a great time swimming.  We can't wait to swim all summer!  Yay for the McGuire's being members of a pool!
Also today I took Cora for her 2 1/2 year appointment.  Dr. Goradia said she is doing great! She weighs 32 1/2 lbs, and is 37 1/2 inches tall....amazing!  She grew 2 1/2 inches and gained 2 1/2 lbs. in 6 months!  Cora is such a caring and sweet little girl, but can test her limit with anyone at anytime!  She is a handful at times, but most of the time is an enjoyable, smart, sweet, and funny little toddler.  She still has hardly any hair though, we are working on growing it!  Cora loves to talk constantly and is very fluent with her sentences.  We love our Cora Boo so much, and can't wait to see what the next 6 months have in store for us with our little girl!

Creative with her fashion!

The other day Cora wanted to wear her snow boots and her leotard before we left the house.  We were going to see Nana and she really wanted to show Nana her outfit.  She was very proud of herself for picking out her attire!

No smile for the camera, but off camera she was very proud of herself!

Strawberry Picking!

A couple of weeks ago we went strawberry picking at the Chesterfield Berry Farm.  We went with Aunt Kelly's playgroup and had such a great time!  The weather was perfect and everyone was ready to pick strawberrys!  Of course Cora got very messy and ate all of her strawberrys.  We did not buy one strawberry!  Madelyn was very neat and little Ellie beat everyone in the messy department.  After picking strawberrys the girls played in the corn trough and then we had a nice picnic lunch.  Everyone was exhausted by the end of the day, especially Aunt Kelly and myself!  But we had a great time and can't wait until next year!  Next year will be very different because I will have two children with me!  Maybe we will get Nana to come help:)

Best friends!

Eating strawberrys!

Not sure what to think of the tractor ride!

Ellie not sure what to think either!

More picking!

Playing in the corn trough!

Always a favorite:)

No strawberrys at the end of the day!
