Running Club Pics

Like I've said before, Cora has the most AMAZING Kindergarten teacher.  Mrs. Bouton is so awesome I can't even say enough good things about her!  She sent me some pictures of Cora from their last running club practice a couple of weeks ago.  The pictures are great and she was so sweet to send them to us!

Kids One Miler!

Since January, Cora has been practicing with Echo Lake in their Weekend Warrior Running Club.  Some practices were cancelled due to weather, but she made all of the other ones!  She worked so hard and she really is a great runner!  She's got long runner legs and running is in the family genes on the Nolan side!  So today was her big race!!  She ran in the Kids One Miler which went along with the Monument Ave. 10K.  We met the running club at 7:30 AM and they took pictures and stretched.  It was a COLD morning, but she didn't care!  She wanted to run with her Daddy while her Mommy took pictures (her exact words!)  I had so much fun watching her and my heart was bursting with pride when she crossed the finish line!  Way to go Cora Hillyer...I will always be there to cheer you on as you cross every finish line!

Girl Scout Firehouse 22 Visit!

Last Thursday Cora's Girl Scout troop went to visit Firehouse 22!  The firefighters were awesome and they even let the girls (and younger siblings boys) to use the fire hose!  It was such a great tour and the girls had a great time on a beautiful warm day!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Girl Scouts had their Daddy Daughter dance this past Saturday.  Of course Cora was so excited to go, we even got her nails done!  Josh and I went to visit the Shraders during the dance for some boy time! They played soccer and even got to get ice cream from the ice cream truck!  What a fun day all around!

Cora has participated in Echo Lake's running club since January.  Her big one mile race is this weekend and she  is so excited!  On Saturday, she had her last practice for the year.  She ran with her friend Meredith and Josh joined in at times.  I am so proud of her since there are only 3 kids in Kindergarten class who participated.  Way to go sweet girl!
