Strawberry Patch!

Today we went strawberry picking at Gallmeyers Farms.  It was perfect weather, not too hot like it has been in the past.  The farm was interesting but it turned out to be perfect for little kids.  We all had a great time!  Last year I couldn't save any strawberries because Cora ate every one of them.  This year she only ate 3 or 4.  What a difference a year makes!  Joshua stayed home with Nana so he could nap.  Next year he will be mobile when we go, so that will be interesting!

Sweet cousins

Ready to go!

Happy Mother's Day!

This year is my first Mother's Day as a mother of two!  I feel extremely lucky to have Cora and Joshua in my life.  These two little people bring me more joy than I could have ever imagined.  I am so thankful and count my blessings every day that I get to wake up to these beautiful faces.  This year for Mother's Day I had to work (suprise!).  So we celebrated on Saturday.  We took Madelyn and Cora to a Mother's Day tea at Feathernesters.  It was great!  The tea was awesome and the food was delicious!  Then we met up with everyone else at Nana and Pop's for BBQ.  We had a great time hanging out on the deck and watching the kids play in the yard.  It was a relaxing and wonderful Mother's Day celebration!
On a side note, when I was explaining to Cora about a week ago that Mother's Day was coming up, she quickly responded, well when is baby's day?  I responded even quicker...EVERY DAY!

Nana with her two oldest grandchildren!

Cora was determined to keep that pinky up while drinking her "tea."  Just like Fancy Nancy!

I've never seen her drink so much "tea" (aka pink lemonade).

Wonderful food!

The loves of my life!

Playing at Nana and Pop's is always fun!

Roaring 20's!

This is a late post but I just found some pictures of when we went to our friend Lindsey Duke's 30th Birthday party.  It was nice to get out without kids for a night!  We had fun dressing up.  I somehow fit into a flapper dress Kelly and I both wore when were in high school!  It didn't zip all the way in the back, but it still worked!  We had such a good night out:)

So fun to dress up!

Cora had to get in the picture with her mommy and daddy:)

Our little flowergirl:)

Cora was the flowergirl in my coworker/friend's wedding in April.  Mallory and Joe were so thoughtful to include Cora in their special day.  We were all nervous about if she would walk down the isle or not, but she did!  The ring bearer flaked out, but my girl did it!  I was so proud of her beyond words!  The wedding was at River Road Baptist Church and the reception was at the Jefferson Hotel.  It was a fun time especially since I got to hang out with my coworkers outside of work! Cora did such a good job we thought that maybe we could rent her out as a flowergirl! :)  Good job sweet girl, we are so proud of you!!
And how could I forget?  Big THANK YOU to Nana and Pop for watching Joshua during the wedding events!!

Friends

I'm so thankful that with my job I have the middle of the week off.  12 hour shifts are so long and tiring, but i'm so lucky to be able to spend time with Cora and Joshua and do activities with them during the week!  Here are some pictures from some playdates with our friends.
