Champs!

Cora made Champs in 25 Breast in the last meet of the year and we were so so proud!!  She had been close all year but she really pulled through the last meet!  She had extra practice this past week and even had a Champs breakfast!  We got to RVA Swim bright and early this morning for warm ups and Cora didn't seem nervous at all!  I on the other hand was!!  She was in a relay and swam 25 Breast. She cut 1.12 seconds in her Breaststroke and placed 5th!  She even made Varsity time!  We were so proud and she was so excited to get a medal.  All of her hard work paid off and she ended the swim year with a bang!  We were so happy that Nana, Pop, Grammy, Papa, Auntie Laurie, Aunt KK, Holden, Madelyn, and Ellie came to cheer her on!  We all love our Cora!

Why is my girl growing up so fast?!

Water Country!

This past week we went to Water Country with the Meehans, Wheelins, and McGuire's!  It was quite a crew with 9 kids!  We had a blast though and it was not crowded!  We rode lots of rides and were exhausted by the end of the day!

Last Swim Meet and Awards Ceremony!

We had our last swim meet a couple of weeks ago and I could not have been more proud of my little swimmers!  Cora was a triple winner and made champs in 25 Breast!  Josh got 1st in free and 2nd in back for his last meet!  Way to end with a bang!  Both of them did so well this year and we could not have been more proud!  Madelyn and Ellie also did an amazing job and we loved swimming the summer away with our cousins!  We had our end of the year award ceremony last weekend also! Cora got the 110% award and Josh got a trophy for most points scored for Boys 6 and under!  So so proud of them!!

Lexington Trip!

We decided to take a long weekend away to Lexington for Nana's birthday this year!  We stayed at the Costley's mountain house and went to the Safari Zoo, Natural Bridge, and the Natural Caverns!  It was so much fun!!  We even stopped by VMI to see Daddy's old stomping grounds!  Before we met everyone in Lexington, the kids and I went to Clifton Forge to visit with my good friend Jill's childhood home!  It was amazing!!  We had such a fun time and even took a bath in the clean mountain river! Happy birthday to the most amazing Mom/Nana ever!!
