The Nolan Family: July 2016

Last Swim Meet!

This week marked the end of another swim team year! This was Cora's second year on swim team and she did AMAZING! She is such a strong swimmer and has come so far along this summer. She even got to swim the 100 IM in the last meet, which is pretty awesome for a 7 year old. And she even got 3rd place!!! We are so proud of her and have loved watching her this summer. This year Josh started on pre team and was a little bit nervous at the beginning but ended up LOVING going to practice. Pre team practiced three times per week and did not participate in the meets. This was perfect for him. By the end of the season, he was doing so well he got promoted to swim team and got to participate in the last meet! For the past two weeks he went to practice with his sister and his cousins and he thought he was too cool! He got to swim in two events, 25 back and 25 free. He was SO excited! I loved watching Cora, Josh, Madelyn, and Ellie swim this year. They are all such dedicated, strong little swimmers. I am so proud of all of them!

Last week we celebrated Nana's birthday at the pool! It was a perfect birthday party because it has been so HOT out! We had a great time together celebrating our amazing Mom/Nana! We love you so much!!

Christock!

This is the second annual Christock hosted by the Layne family! The Laynes have a lake house on Lake Gaston and we love celebrating Chris's birthday every year at their house (Christock!)! Sam had to work this year, so Cora, Josh and I packed up and headed to the lake for the day! We had a great time and look forward to it every year!

4th of July!

It seems like 4th of July was forever ago! Summer is flying by and it's hard to believe July is winding down! I had to work on July 4th, so I missed the day time festivities! I did get to see fireworks at the Nolans after work though! It rained on the 3rd and 4th, however we did go to Innsbrook for a fun festival and saw fireworks with the McGuire's before the rain started. Overall it was a fun (wet!) weekend!
